Master Tells Jokes
One
More Prayer

Spoken by Supreme Master
Ching Hai, August 25, 2007
Paris 3-Day Retreat, France

A
little girl in her Sunday dress was running as fast as she could because
she didn’t want to be late for her Bible class. So she was running
and praying at the same time: “Oh dear Lord, please don’t
let me be late! Don’t let me be late!” Since she was running
and praying, she didn’t pay attention, and she stumbled and
fell, with all her clothes becoming muddy and dirty. So she got up,
shook herself off a little bit and then started running again, saying:
“Oh dear Lord, please don’t let me be late, but don’t
push me either!”

Well, it has been old question. All peoples in this world, realize or not realize, chasing this in their life. So what is happiness ? what is your definition for happiness ?

Does happiness have its opposite, sadness ? if our happiness, in one day, can make us feel sad, not happy anymore. Then maybe.. maybe it’s the time, now, for us to ask again. What is happiness ? or maybe, we should ask to our self, Do I want happiness that can turn to sadness ??

in developing country, money and physical things are still priority. Mostly of them live in poor condition, and they believe, with wealthness, all problem solved and happiness will come. But the funny thing is, in western, that mostly live in better economy life, mostly answer the cause of happiness is Health, Relation and Contented. ( according to BBC rating ). There was another survey, in psychology team, they conclude as long the people can have fulfill their basic needs and live in not poor condition, money cannot anymore make them so very happy anymore.

So the question, again, what is happiness ?

The answer is very relative. And we must find our answer by our self. But there is should be a mark, the real happiness. What is happening in outer condition, with all kinds of situation, the inner condition is not affected.

What is Financial Freedom ?

Having a billion dollar in our deposito ?? or have big house and expensive cars, with passive income more than $10,000 /month ?? or maybe.. you have your own definition.

But for me, in my humble, maybe some of you will laugh for this opinion. Financial freedom is freedom from the worriness and freedom from the greedy to money and material things. No matter you have money or not. Like Mahatma Gandhi ever said, “This world is enough for all people, but NEVER enough for the greedy”.

In this world, there is justice, there is cause and effect law, there is mercy of God. Then why we such need to worry about money ? we just do our best in our work, and give the rest to the nature. Let the nature, God, give the results to you. if we do good work, the result then must be good result. Is it make sense, right ?

When Siddharta leaving his palace and live as monk, he had nothing money, property at all. But why he can live until his old day ? Why a monk can live in very simple way of life ? if we do good things, then there is always a help and the way to life. The question is, do you make good things already for your self, your environment, other peoples around you ? if the answer is Yes, then there is no reason to worry about money and property.

Peoples and environment around you will feed you, will give a hand when in needed. The law of cause and effect always perfect. The mercy of God is always there. As long, we know, enough is enough. We work and do our best. We live to praise God. We live for all sentinent being’s benefit. Then there is no place anymore for worriness.

Forgiveness starts it, a non-judgemental attitude keeps it going. What is it? Freedom. Freedom from anger, hate, guilt and the past. Forgiveness opens the heart; and allows you to walk freely, securely into the next moment.

“I forgive you world, for all the wrongs,
I believe you have done to me.”

Forgiveness is for the forgiver and not the forgivee. Many times have I heard people say: “I will never forgive him/her for what they did to me.” Holding back forgiveness is to hold the anger, hate and guilt of the past event. You can not afford the pain of withholding forgiveness. In the spirit world, strong emotions tie people together. Strong love will keep two persons together and enjoying similiar experiences forever. They may come back into the physical together many times. Strong hate will do the same thing. It will tie you to the hated person until the hate is resolved.

Forgiveness cleans the slate of negative emotions and allows a new start. If you forgive someone and they say: “I don’t accept your forgiveness.” Then know that, if you have been sincere, you have done all you can. Shake the dust off your feet and walk on.

God has no need to forgive, since He never condemns or judges. But God can help you to learn to forgive. Pray for the knowledge of how to forgive everyone and everything that bothers you, He will answer your prayer.

God does not punish anyone for anything. But man, in fear and ignorance, believes strongly in punishment. And because man believes in punishment so intensely, man brings punishment to himself.

In my NDE, I learned from God that: “Man punishes himself, and not only does he punish himself, but he chooses the form that punishment will take.” Now, is punishment necessary: of course not. If man chose Love in everything he did, punishment would disappear.

Every day use the affirmation above: “I forgive you world, for all the wrongs, that I believe you have done to me.” Then forgive individually each and every person you may be having problems with. Release the past daily and walk into the future in freedom.

Love is neither form nor event. It is the Power (attraction) that holds the universe together. All things (including you) are created in perfect, unconditional Love. When Love is present, everything is secure. When Love is absent, everything falls apart.

Love is the positive, attracting Power that is in all things. The Love Power has no opposite. There is only One Power in the Oneness that is everything. If Love is absent, then there is void, empty space, lonely darkness that is called fear in the language of human emotions.

Love is the normal state of being for every person in existence. But, all to often, Love is blocked by negative emotions such as anger, resentment, envy, distrust, etc. All these negative emotions are subsets of fear which are, simply put, a lack of Love.

Love has many imposters: physical attraction (hormones); sentimentality; phony caring; imitativeness; tough love; punishing out of love; etc. Real Love is unconditional, it gives without asking for anything in return. Real Love fills the heart with joy, the mind with peace, and the soul with God.

“Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love doesn’t demand its own way. It’s not irritable or touchy. It doesn’t hold grudges and will not notice when others do it wrong. It’s never glad about injustice, but rejoices in truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends”. — Saint Paul.

Love will never leave you, but you can leave Love. Learn to live in Love. The path to freedom is the path of Love.

Learning to love is possible, because you are love; every part and particle of you. Love is your natural state of being. Why then, do you feel unloved? Because you have forgotten who you are. Listen to your heart, calling you to “Be who you are.”

“Be Who You Are.”

You live your lives according to the information given you by teachers, parents, peers, etc., until the moment arrives when you realize that for all your good behavior and compliance, your life is empty. You sense a need that nothing in your world can fulfill. You hear a distant drum calling you to consider something unconventional, something outlandish. The drummer is whispering: “Be who you are.”

From that moment on, you begin to question and release old, limiting ideas, tossing them out of your life. You may feel some fear as you release them, afraid you will leave holes in your “image” or you will become “vulnerable” to attack by others. But, be not afraid. All limiting ideas are pure illusion.

You are removing the camouflage you have wrapped around yourself in the hope of conforming to what you were taught was “a very good person.” Good for whom and good for what? You are holding the illusion that you must do something, that you must become something, that you must perform something in order to be worthy.

From the viewpoint of the Greater Reality you are an angel of Light wrapped in your own self-judgment, bemoaning the lack of freedom that you have denied yourself.

There are scientists who say life has no real purpose. It’s an accident we exist at all, and if we want purpose and meaning in our lives we need to decide that for ourselves. On the other hand, there are religious leaders who say life is for obeying and worshipping a Supreme Being usually called “God.” Neither are correct

Near Death Experiences tell us something different. NDEs show we will live after death, and life is full of meaning and purpose. Our home is the spiritual world. We came here by choice to learn about ourselves and to train for our spiritual future.

In the physical world we learn the alphabet, so we can put letters together to form words. Those who master large numbers of words can communicate quickly and efficiently with others. Research has shown the bigger the vocabulary, the better the chance one has to become “successful.”

In the spirit world it is our thoughts we learn about. The physical world provides a classroom for us. Here we see our thoughts in action, our hopes and desires, as well as our fears unfolding before us even as we think about them. Thought translates into reality, in the physical world, how fast this happens depends on the intensity and frequency of the thought. “We reap what we sow.” is truth.

We are learning to understand the importance of thinking, and focusing thoughts into useful, constructive beliefs and ideas for the benefit of ourselves and others. Some call this positive thinking, spiritual people call it learning to love. Love is our tool to gain spiritual growth. The more you love the greater the growth.

When we give up the negative thoughts and start working with loving ourselves and others, many wonderful things happen. We can understand better, gain knowledge quicker, and live peaceful, stress free lives. It is not an easy path, and we may falter along the way a few times, but it is worth the effort.

Start today to honor your thoughts with the importance they deserve. Listen to yourself, notice how others react to you. Make adjustments in your thinking to help yourself. Read positive books, do positive affirmations, and replace negative thoughts with love.

While the physical world can be really tough at times, it is always safe. The Higher Intelligence (God) that created it, and you, is always there within it all. Learning to love will open the door of communication, and understanding will flow to you from the Love. You will reap what you sow.

You are always held, safe and secure, in God’s Love. No matter what others may think of you. No matter what you may think of yourself. God loves you. You can not fall from His grace. Love is your eternal birthright. You can not lose it. It is endless.

God loves you more than you realize, more than you can imagine while in physical form. He sets no limits or conditions. His Love is unconditional. You don’t have to do anything, believe anything, or be anyone special to deserve it. You are His perfect child, in whom He is well pleased.

Base on Hindu or Veda

Om bhur bhuvah svah,
tat savitur varenyam,
bhargo devasya dhimahi,
dhiyo yo nah pracodayat.

We meditate on the glory of the Creator;
Who has created the Universe;
Who is worthy of Worship;
Who is the embodiment of Knowledge and Light;
Who is the remover of all Sin and Ignorance;
May He enlighten our Intellect.

Hyang Widhi,
Engkau penguasa tubuh, pikiran dan jiwa kami.
Engkau pencipta seluruh alam semesta ini.
Hanya kepada-Mu aku menyembah dan memasrahkan diri.
Semoga Engkau berkenan membangkitkan pengetahuanku
dan selalu membimbing pikiran, perkataan dan perbuatanku.
